About This Project
The backyard was basic new-build landscaping when we started. Mostly gravel and some grass, nothing more. Darren wanted a space to spend his evenings in, with a fire pit to gather around and room to grill. We built a paver walkway from the back deck all the way to the gate with a flagstone section along the way, installed a propane fire pit as the centerpiece, replaced the lawn with dog-resilient sod, and planted junipers along the fence line for privacy from the neighbors. It went from a leftover lot to a backyard worth coming home to.
